Brand name and visual identity for a complex accessibility methodology

Help the International Cseperedő Foundation create a new, inclusive brand name and logo for its complex accessibility methodology, which is built on five pillars and opens up access for several target groups.
Since 2007, the International Cseperedő Foundation has worked on diagnosing and supporting autistic children and young people, and on professionally supporting parents and teachers. Over the past decade its work has also expanded significantly into social inclusion and cultural access: working with various institutions, it develops complex, autism-friendly programmes and services. Such partnerships include, among others, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Tale Museum (Mesemúzeum) and the Capital Circus of Budapest. In its 2025–2026 Creative Europe project, it is working with international partners to turn the theoretical and practical knowledge gathered over nearly ten years into a widely usable methodology and knowledge platform. Its goal is to reduce barriers to accessing cultural and other services not only for autistic people, but also for other groups with different support needs.

What kind of pro bono support are we looking for?

We are looking for an expert experienced in brand strategy, naming and visual identity who can create a new brand name and matching logo for the complex accessibility methodology that the International Cseperedő Foundation has developed over more than ten years. The current label “autism-friendly” is on the one hand too narrow, because the solutions developed can also create access for other people across the wider neurodiversity spectrum or with different support needs; on the other hand, many initiatives with very different content now use the same term. Cseperedő therefore wants a distinctive, easy-to-understand name that can be built on in communication later, to which its five-pillar, complex accessibility approach can be linked. The project focuses on creating the brand name, the basic positioning and the visual mark. It does not include legal trademark searches, trademark registration, a legal opinion on protectability, or setting up legal protection for the methodology.

Application requirements and participation details

What professional knowledge is required?

Brand strategy, naming, brand positioning, creative concept development, visual identity and logo design, incorporating target group and stakeholder perspectives, inclusive communication, crafting simple brand messages. It is an advantage if the expert can do a basic pre-screening of name ideas from a linguistic, communication and digital usability perspective.

What level of expertise is expected?

Experienced – We are looking for a brand or communication expert who has already worked on naming and visual identity projects, and can turn the essence of a complex professional methodology into a short, memorable and non-exclusionary brand promise. Respect for sensitive target groups and for methodological credibility is important in this project.

What experience is an advantage?

Brand building for social-purpose, health, education, cultural or accessibility projects; creating service or methodology brands; naming projects ahead of trademark registration; inclusive design; communication related to neurodiversity or disability.

What soft skills are needed?

Creativity, empathy, sensitive and precise use of language, good questioning technique, the ability to see what matters, facilitation, structured handling of feedback, collaboration with a professional team, and the ability to distil a simple, memorable brand identity from a large amount of professional content.

How many people are needed?

1 person

Conditions and expectations

From the start of the project the organisation can dedicate 5–6 hours per week to the work, and from January as much as 8–10 hours. The project can take place online or in person in Budapest. The methodology’s professional content, its five pillars, nearly ten years of experience, knowledge from an international project and more than 300 survey responses are all available, so this is not a brand strategy starting from scratch. The pro bono focus is on naming, the short positioning it requires, and a first usable version of the visual identity. It does not include a full brand book, a large communication campaign, website development, trademark law research or trademark registration. The final legal usability of the chosen name needs to be checked separately with an intellectual property expert.

What tasks do we need pro bono help with?

A short summary of the methodology’s purpose, five pillars, primary target groups and distinctive features, based on existing materials. Setting criteria for the name: what it must express, what it must not imply, which target groups it must remain open to, and what Hungarian/international use is expected. Reviewing previously collected name ideas and survey feedback. Developing several different naming directions and drawing up a shortlist. Evaluating the shortlisted names for clarity, memorability, differentiation, acceptance by target groups, pronounceability and digital usability. Creating a short positioning statement and basic brand message for the chosen name. Producing a first usable version of a logo and simple visual concept that fit the name. Setting basic usage guidelines: name, logo, short description and typical use cases. Organising the materials needed for a trademark check and clearly defining the next legal step, without providing legal advice.

Our ideal candidate

A brand strategist, naming expert or graphic designer who is not just looking for a creative name, but also understands the meaning of the professional methodology and social cause behind it. It is an advantage if they can bring both strategic and visual thinking, or if a small expert duo can cover the naming and design tasks together.

Why does this matter?

Over more than ten years, Cseperedő has built a complex accessibility practice that goes beyond the everyday meaning of the “autism-friendly” label. If the methodology gets its own distinctive identity, it becomes easier to recognise that an institution has implemented not just a single partial solution, but well-thought-out accessibility built on several pillars.

What does this role offer?

The chance to use your brand-building expertise to help turn a decade of professional experience into an independent, recognisable identity. In the longer term, the resulting name and visual mark can help more cultural and service institutions commit to more complex transformations that create real access.
